We encounter many surprises every single day—like unexpected turn of events that, suddenly, influence our current situation, for better or for worst, which then requires us to think and respond fast.At first you would think that we’d get use to these occurrences that seem to have a pattern of happening every year. But then we forget that there are so many variables that affect any given situation (i.e., mood, behavior, cultural programming, habits, survival needs, environment, etc.). What seemed a pattern that repeats every year is actually a slight variation that now requires a different set of responses.
The truth is that we must continually adjust, adapt, and review our behaviors and responses. It’s a survival issue. It’s a human issue. And we must respond to every variation with tenacity and rigor.
