I started listening to a variety of podcasts in the past couple of years. I don’t remember the exact date I started downloading these podcasts, but it was during a time when I ran a lot. It has been life changing. The content of the podcasts have been so beneficial. The podcasters have added value to my life.
I have constantly improved as a result of listening to these podcasts. Podcasters like: Pat Flynn, Lewis Lowe, John Lee Dumas, and many more impacted me even though I haven’t met them. Notable mention is Tim Ferriss. He is the one person I listen to the most, because he truly adds value to his audience, like me.
Tim invites amazing guests in his podcast, and he interviews them with questions that are relevant to an audience who desire to improve their way of life. And the topics are eclectic. They can be about health, fitness, spirituality, efficiency, investing, business start up, marketing, traveling, and more.
So when I’m driving to work early in the morning, I would listen to Tim’s podcast. The inside of my car becomes a classroom where I absorb knowledge from podcasters and their guests. In my case, I soak up wisdom and knowledge from Tim and his special guests. At the end of my commute, I always learn something new that I want to try out.
Of course, I am not naive. People have their own selfish reasons for starting a podcast. Podcasting can be part of a business model, a marketing tool maybe; but, nonetheless, as long as podcasters add value to my life, then I am going to download episodes. If you’re not doing it yet, you should soon!
The greatest classroom is inside my car and lessons begin between 6:30 to 6:45pm. If you’re interested, check out tim Ferriss’s podcast. Steve Scott, eBook author and seller extraordinaire, has an amazing podcast providing advice on how to publish your own eBook, although he stopped producing already. You can still listen!
In the digital age that we live in, knowledge and wisdom is readily available if you are proactive enough to find them.
