It’s been awhile since I wrote something. But I have share with you that I have been reading the Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin and it’s one of those easy to read and satisfying to the heart type of book. She shares a lot information based on research on happiness and she made the information easy to digest; hence, I’m eagerly reading the book. What more is that I started watching researchers and scientist talking about happiness and how to find genuine happiness on YouTube and TED. This includes Dan Gilbert, of course, and Shawn Achor Achor.
I’m always in search of ways to experience genuine happiness. Maybe because I felt unhappy many times in my younger years—especially during my early years in America. I struggled in my social life and interpersonal relationship. I’m so self-conscious which inhibits me from experiencing spontaneous joy and happiness. Spontaneous—that’s it… Happiness must be spontaneous. That’s the most genuine type of happiness. And the only way to experience that is by not caring so much about what other people thing and just focus on the present. And the best way to be present is to focus on helping others grow in the moment. That way there is a mission, a purpose to your actions. Hey, I just spontaneously wrote that and now I have discovered something that I want to practice regularly. Awesome!
