Since I launched my drop shipping business selling emergency preparedness kits a few months ago, and not having sold one (1) item, I’ve learned a few lessons:
1.) starting an business is not that hard. You find a product supplier; buy a domain; register a fictitious business name through your county, open an online store account, such as shopify or big commerce; get a reseller’s certificate through the board of equalization; and start posting your products online!
2.) That was the easy part. The hardest part of this endeavor is actually getting exposure in a saturated online market. Marketing and SEO, I’ve discovered, is one of the most critical aspect of business that you have to spend a lot of time and do very, very well. Otherwise, you won’t attract potential buyers to your store.
3.) Dedicating time, energy, effort, and passion is critical to the success of any endeavor; whether it’s starting a business, or writing a book, or developing a great relationship with others.
Dedication is the key ingredient to any success.
